I was viewing the postings and noticed one from a guy named Chris, asking about guitar set-ups. He was concerned about fret buzzing. Fret buzzing is not a bad thing if it doesn't come through the amp. I have played guitars that belong to Michael Fath, Micheal Lee Firkens, Paul Hansen and Speedy West Jr. Everyone of these Guitars had Perfect action and you Guessed it.(Fret Buzz)If you have not heard of these Players Check em Out!!! It takes some getting used to but 90% of Professional Guitar Instrumentalist have very Low action to the point of Fret Buzzing.

Hey Rob,
Thanks for the input. I agree 100%. In fact Chris was complaining probably about the time he posted that message you read because I had lowered his action REAL low. I had lowered mine to the point of buzzing and loved the way it sounded...even if there was some buzzing through the amp (not too much). I found it worth that price because it just made my playing so darn bossy! Instead of my hands working so hard to talk...I was pushing the strings around and sounding kind of poppy against the fret board from time to time.
Anyway, he chickened out of living so low and I had to bring him up a bit...but I'm with you!
What first brought the concept to my attention was acoustic guitars. For the most part every acoustic I picked up played so HARD it killed my fingers. For years I just thought that was what you had to put up with on an acoustic. But every now and then I'd find someone's that played like a dream...more like an electric. After so long being ignorant I finally found out why. Action! After that I ran around the countryside like Johnny Appleseed, lowering everyone's action and shaking my head at anyone who didn't want to! : )
I love a good buzz!
Rob, thanks for sharing on that point, and I hope everyone who reads will believe and be free of the murder of high action for good!
